Chhattisgarh board assessments of Class 10 cancelled, Class 12 suspended

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) on Thursday canceled its Class 10 examinations this year in view of the triumphing COVID-19 state of affairs withinside the state and protection of students, the government stated. The board additionally suspended its Class 12 examinations scheduled to start from May 3, and a fresh timetable could be launched as soon as the COVID-19 state of affairs improves, they stated. The choice comes days after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) canceled its Class 10 examinations and postponed Class 12 examinations.

A notification issued through CGBSE secretary V K Goyal stated that retaining in view the surge in COVID-19 instances and the disastrous state of affairs springing up therewith in Chhattisgarh, the High School Certificate (Class 10) exam for the educational year 2020-21 stands canceled.
