Distance Learning M.Sc. in Applied Finance

The two-year curriculum reveals and characterizes unstructured investment management issues. The program also prepares students for a Chartered Financial Analyst career (CFA). Distance M.Sc. in Applied Finance from NMIMS will teach students how to find creative ways to tackle unstructured problems and apply them effectively.

Students will get trained to think creatively and apply it to different primary investment management areas with the right knowledge.

Additionally, students will learn how to assess risk-return. They will conduct the investment decision support plan accordingly.

Program Duration

M.Sc. in Applied Finance course is 2 years long duration. For convenience, the program structure is divided into 4 semesters.

Faculty

A mixture of academics and industry experts is Manipal University’s seasoned faculty. They will lead students every step of the way.

Professor Amit Parakh is a faculty for the course M.Sc. in Applied Finance.

Prof. Parakh played a key role in executing valuation assignments, designing credit rating models, and structuring transactions for the Structured Goods Community and ICICI Bank.

He was part of the team that created valuation models. He carried out a financial analysis of different Indian IT service companies during his stint as an equity research analyst with JP Morgan.

Eligibility

The eligibility for Distance M.Sc. in Applied Finance from NMIMS is :

  • Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) from an accredited university in any discipline or an equivalent degree recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with a minimum mark of 50 percent at graduation level
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) with less than 50 percent marks at graduation level and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in any discipline from an accredited university or equivalent degree recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Program Fee

The total fee for the M.Sc. in Applied Finance is 1,80,000. Students have the option to pay the full amount in one go. If not, students can pay the amount annually. That is they can pay 99,000 per Year.

The fees exclude the admission processing fees which are 1,200.

Finance Options Available

At the time of enrollment, an initial amount of Rs. 5,000 from the program fee is obtained.

With a 20 percent concession on the program cost, the university gives special benefits to our armed forces.

At the discretion of the university, the above fee structure is subject to modification. Any payment made through the Demand Draft should be made in favor of the “NMIMS of SVKM” payable in Mumbai.

Additionally, students must pay a fee of Rs 600/- per subject for the test.
