University of Mumbai’s distance learning institute receives UGC nod to conduct admissions for the academic year 2020-21

In a relief to college students in search of admission to distance education courses at the University of Mumbai (MU), the University Grants Commission (UGC) has allowed the varsity’s Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) to move beforehand with admissions for the academic year 2020-21.

The approval from UGC is relevant to 15 distance education courses offered by IDOL such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), and Bachelor of Science (BSc), amongst others.

“We will soon start the admission process,” the university stated in a declaration launched on Friday. Last year, more than 67,000 students have been admitted in the July session, at the same time as 920 college students took admissions in the January session.
