About the Programme

A highly regarded technical degree designed to build the skills needed for careers in banking and management is a Master of Commerce. Institute of Distance & Online Learning at Chandigarh University curriculum for M.Com. It is compatible with the new Learning Management System (CULMS) improved educational structure.

Eligibility

A person with graduation in any stream is eligible for entry.

Duration

The minimum duration of the course in 2 years. There are 4 semesters.

 PG Diploma

Students will benefit from the PG Diploma Certificate after satisfactory completion of the first two semesters of M.COM.

Specialization

It is a single distance education specialization program offered by Chandigarh University. In the third and fourth semesters, out of the two specializations offered, the student must take one course/subject from their chosen specialization.

  1. Auditing & Taxation (Group A)
  2. Banking & Finance (Group B)

Fee Structure 

The total fees for the odd semesters are INR 12700/-. The total fees for even semesters are INR 10200/-. The academic fees are INR 6950/- for both semesters. Registration fees are required for only odd semesters. The registration fees are INR 2500/-. Exam fees are required for all semesters and are INR 2000/-. The SLM Hard copy Charges are optional. The price of it is INR 1250/-.

  • Capital Market 
  • Strategic Cost Management 
  • Business Environment and Sustainability
  • Elective- 2 Group (A/B) 
  • Dissertation

Specialization Subjects

The list of subjects for specializations are:

  • IFRS International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Company Accounts & Audit
  • Banking & Finance (Group-B) Banking and Insurance
  • Merger and Acquisition

In the third and fourth semesters, out of the two specializations offered, the student must take one course/subject from their chosen specialization.

Please note that once chosen, the specialization must not be modified.
