Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education SMU-DE was established in a partnership between the Government of Sikkim and Manipal Group in 1995.
SMU-DE has won many awards including student’s most preferred distance learning University. The University offers various Bachelors and Masters Programmes in Information technology and management studies.
All the courses of SMU-DE are approved by various regulatory bodies like Medical Council of India, Nursing Institutes of India, Indian Association of Physio Therapy, AICTE, UGC, and DEB.
